What is cut and paste bingo?
Cut and paste bingo is just like regular bingo, but students get to customize their bingo board with pre-made bingo pieces! Students ordering their own pieces on their board makes the experience unique and brings a "choose your own fate" kind of experience.
What are the benefits of Cut and Paste Bingo?
Cut and paste bingo is great for so many reasons. One reason is that young primary students get a chance to practice fine motor skills when they cut and paste their pieces on to their bingo boards. Additionally, all of my cut and paste bingo games feature calling cards that have hints on them. These hits help students guess which item you are referring to and teaches them vocabulary at the same time.
Best ways to use cut and paste bingo:
I LOVE using cut and paste bingo for classroom parties and family fridays. It is perfect for a classroom party because it can buy you a little bit of time on those high energy days while students are cutting and organizing their board. Likewise, you can have students play several rounds of the Bingo game without it ever getting old. I have students who have even wanted to take the bingo games home to play with their families because they are so fun and exciting.
I also love using cut and paste bingo as a review game. I have a US Symbols cut and paste bingo game that helps students to identify United States symbols based on the picture and the description on the calling cards. I have found that when students play a few rounds of these games with educational material, they commit the subject matter to memory more quickly because it is needed to play the game well.
